Thursday, October 23rd Tyrone Wells was back on stage at the Englert Theater in Iowa City. One again he put on an amazing show, and introduced 3 new songs that will be on his December 23rd album release. He was in London working with the band Snow Patrol and Jason Maraz, the new material is pretty awesome, we are excited for the release.
Whats amazing is the growth that we have seen over the past 2 years. From approx 70 people at the Picador last year, to over 450 at Thursday nights show. What a feeling!

After the show, Jason the bass player, asked if we wanted to hit up a Hookah bar just a few blocks down. Out of pure curiosity, we headed towards a bar called the Red Poppy. The was a first for all of us, and what an experience we had. I just want to clarify that smoking Hookah does not mean the green stuff, it is flavored tobacco, that is filtered through water and smoked through the tubes. Let me give you a visual...middle Eastern music playing, Asian rugs lined the floors and walls, red paint, smoky, multiple rooms filled with tookers sitting on pillows and chairs and the scent of incense.I must say that Tim did his research and learned that smoking Hookah is more harmful that anyone thinks. One hour of smoking hookah is equivalent to smoking 100 cigarettes. Not sure on how much truth that holds, I just know I do not advise it on a daily basis, or even monthly, although we have already priced one out for our patio. The next picture just cracks us up, so I wanted to make sure all had a chance to laugh along with us. Jaime was at home with the kids, so this is what happens to Tim when Jaime isn't there to stop him.
