Spring is Finally Here!

#1, I apologize for the huge delay since our last posts. Yes we are busy people, but I promise to never go that long again! It has been since New Years, and a lot has happened since 2009 begun, but I will spare you and just start with Easter. What a wonderful time of year, the weather is changing, rain starts falling and nature starts coming back to life. Brandon and I spent Easter with Joel, Rachel the girls and my Dad. It was wonderful and the girls made bunny cakes for dessert, I have to admit, they were very tasty. Naomi was a little upset when Mommy cut her bunnies head off, but as soon as she saw everyones reaction of how yummy it was, she became the proud cook!

KJ sent the girls Marley & Me and Over the Hedge for Easter. I just recently became brave enough to watch it myself, and it is sad, but it is also the way of life. So, as expected we received a thank you note in the mail, and it is so adorable, it must be shared.
They are growing up so fast, but they are a huge part of our lives, and we thank them for every moment that we get to share with them. I no longer take it personal when I call to chat with Naomi and she asks, "um, what is Uncle Brandon doing?" It used to break my heart that I wasn't cool anymore, but it makes me smile to know how much they love Brandon, I suppose I can learn to share :)

We have been busy working on projects inside the house, as we know when it gets really warm, we will want to be working on the list of items outside. Brandon has been working very hard at water sealing the entire basement. Paint does wonders, and not only has it helped seal a few water spots, it gave it a fresh new look, and I am very thankful. Last weekend, we tore up our living room carpet. The wood floors look great, so it is nice to have that as a second option. I may debate on installing new carpet when Fall/Winter arrives for warmth, but we will wait and see. For now, it has given the house a whole new look!
