Happy Mother's Day

Growing up, Mother's Day to me was spending time with my amazing Mom - and here I am, celebrating with my own family, that Brandon and I have created! It is a pretty cool feeling and yet so hard to grasp at the same time! This morning just solidified I have entered the world of motherhood - Henley wakes at 7:00AM, earlier than the norm for a weekend, and as usual I am anxious to get my hands on her. I fixed her a big girl bottle, we have upgraded her to the larger ones, swooped her out of bed and brought her into bed with us. She guzzled down those 5ozs, showing me what she could handle, and just as I go to burp her, here it comes...the 5ozs right back up! All we could do was laugh, and as I laid there, bed sheets saturated in formula - all I could think of was, "this is the life!" She immediately smiled, and so we snuggled until she fell asleep on my chest. She is amazing and I love every moment of her life - sticky or not!

This great weekend started off Saturday morning, Brandon and Henley had gone shopping...

I received a beautiful hanging basket of flowers and a very special necklace!

I love it very much!

We traveled to Marshalltown today to spend the afternoon with Brandon's family.

Grandma Teri and her Grandbabies!

Cousin Payton, soon showing Henley & Christopher how the big kids roll!!

Great Grandma Joyce, the creator of this crazy family, rocked Henley while she snoozed!

Happy Family (sorry for the blur - still trying to figure the settings out on our camera)

Henley - thank you so much for making Motherhood full of laughter, joy and unconditional love - you make it very easy to love every inch of your formula spitting, diapers filling, finger sucking being! You make Daddy and I smile every day! Happy Mothers Day to all the amazing women who makes a difference in our lives!
