Flower Power

Brandon asked what I wanted to do for Mother's Day, and my response was "lets start a tradition!"  I want Mother's Day to be about family, and us spending time together is what I live for.  So we headed to the nursery to pick out flowers to plant and veggies for the garden!  Henley helped out with the flower selections and she did a great job!  This was a day to mark in the books, the first time Henley ate dirt...and by the handful!  It didn't take her long to figure out it tasted bad, like yucky bad!

We wrapped up the day with our first bike ride of the year!  This time Henley filled the bike trailer out little more, utilizing the side pockets for her drink, cell phone and snacks!  It was a perfect day!!!

Today, I was busy finally packing away some of the more baby items in Henley's dresser.  I stumbled across this yellow head band, one Henley had worn when she was little.

(Henley 2 months)
Since then she has had no interest in even keeping a hat on, until that is, she saw the yellow head band!  She wanted it on, and no one touch it!

(Henley 16 months)
And so, the yellow flower head band stayed on while she played!

Our sweet little flower girl!!
