Weekend at the Dells

We packed the car to it's maximum capacity and hit the open road Friday morning, destination: Wisconsin Dells!  This is our yearly getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary along with our good friends the Eddins.  Our full intent this weekend was to enjoy the time away with no agenda, along with good food and good company - mission accomplished!
Our cabin at the Wilderness Resort - we settled right in like it was home!  Side note: it is amazing the equipment that is required when traveling with a small child, my goodness!  I have to remind myself to embrace these times where Brandon cannot find room for his cooler because the pack n' play and stroller are in the way...ha ha!  Although I felt I barley touched half of what I packed, I was glad to have it in tow just in case.

Once we got settled, we put on our wrist bands and away to the indoor water park we went!  The girls looked so cute and were both prepared to jump right in.
Where's Daddy & Henley??

First time down the waterslide...weeeee!!!
I sadly didn't get many pictures of the little girls together, but they played so well, Lila was mother goose to Henley making sure most importantly that her sippy cup wasn't tipped over.  We look forward to the years ahead, and them becoming the best of friends!

We took advantage of the beautiful weather and took a famous Wisconsin Duck Boat Tour!  What a blast, I would recommend to anyone!  I won't go into much history, but they look like this...
Photo courtesy of their website, it looks dated, but they haven't changed
As we waited for our tour to begin, the guys got a little thrill out of the go carts next door - Brandon sported the pink cart and as proud as he looks, it didn't put out the stamina - typical!

Okay, back to duck boats - we snuggled in and we were off!  Thanks to the comedian driver, it made the experience that much cooler - thanks for the laughs!

Going from land to water - pretty sweet!
Beautiful views

She kept catching a glimpse of herself in my glasses - gosh she is cute!
We were able to accomplish a little shopping at the outlet mall and ended with a very yummy breakfast!   We thank you Eddin's family for the memories and are already looking forward to next year - planning starts in April!
