Each visit it takes a little more convincing to get Henley on board with all the equipment in the office. "Oh look, I will listen to Daddy's heartbeat, okay now Henley's!" Dr. Thomas is very patient with her, and yet with all her hesitation she still managed to give him a few hi fives!
This visit called for only one vaccine and a second attempt at a blood draw to check her lead levels. If you recall the first attempt was at her 12 month appointment with no luck, and today was not any better I am sad to report. They attempted once in each arm, and decided it was best to send us to the hospital. It certainly wasn't easy to watch her get so upset, and now with the anticipation of yet another attempt, I will be thinking about it until its over. I am so thankful this isn't something we have to do often! I was prepared and had a little something special waiting at home for her...a balloon! It sure made everything better!
Ouchie little arms & left leg
Happy girl with her balloon!
Right now Henley has 8 teeth and is working on one of her back molars...eeek! She is an amazing little girl, who is allowing her personality to really shine! There are days we absolutely cannot get enough of her, she has brought more to our lives than we ever thought was possible. One cannot prepare for the overwhelming joy this little diaper wearing, scream for no reason, shock me when she asks for kisses, little munchkin was going to bring!

Life's simplest pleasures...a balloon! That little girl has a very good mommy and daddy. Give her kisses for us.
