Guess What...

It's official WE'RE PREGNANT! Alright, so to family and friends that already know, this is old news, but to the blogging world it's still exciting to shout out we're EXPECTING!

After what seemed like forever, it finally took! I was a few days late and thought, well this has happened before, so we waited until I was 3 days late to take the test. I woke at 5:15am Friday morning, anxious to test. I laid in bed trying not to wake Brandon, wanting to hold off until at least 6:00, but I had to go and could not hold it in anymore. The test said wait 3 minutes...it took about 20 seconds to show POSITIVE! I couldn't believe it, it finally happened.

With a full weekend Mother's Day weekend planned, we knew we would be seeing most of the family. It didn't take us long to decide how we were going to break the news, it had to be something fun and exciting.

KJ sporting I'm the Big Brother t-shirt was great! It took some people a while to get what it all meant, but everyone's reactions were priceless! I think KJ knows something is up, besides wearing a youth size shirt, because he has been acting a little different. Waking us up in the middle of the night...becoming a little more needy. Brandon says he is just prepping us, and I think he is right! KJ is going to love his baby brother or sister, I cannot wait to see how he reacts.

We are currently in our 12th week! We had our first appointment with Dr. McCarron on Friday and it was absolutely amazing! We got to hear the heartbeat and it was like music to our ears! All of my lab work and exam went well, we are exactly where we need to be. With babys heart rate at 150, all is doing well. I couldn't stop smiling all day, it was just wonderful. This was just one of the many milestone appointments we will experience and we both cannot wait as each appointment brings us knowledge and information about our little one.

Our next appointment is this coming Monday where we will have our very first ultrasound. A sneak peek at the baby and we are just thrilled! Due Date is January 12, 2010!
