31 Weeks & Showered With Love

What a wonderful week we have just had.  It started out Friday afternoon with our 31 week check up with Dr. McCarron.  Once again, we are able to report that we are still on schedule for January 12th,  I am measuring fine and baby's heartrate was loud and clear at 135.  I am still doing well, just feeling some of the typical pregnancy low back pains, as well as pelvic pressure.  Baby is still very active, Brandon and I find ourselfs trying to determine where she is located, all tucked inside.  It turns into a fun guessing game, and just when you think it is limb you feel, you start to question whether it was her head or butt. Such a wonderful mystery, it amazes us every day!  As recommend, I did receive the H1N1 vaccine.  My thoughts reguarding this goes back and forth, but the thought of putting a risk on our pregnancy was a chance we didn't want to take.  I took advantage and accepted the vaccine as we thought it was in the best interest to both of us since we are in the high risk category.  We are now on our 2 week rotation, eek...that means it is getting closer!

Saturday I was surrounded by some amazing friends and family as they showered us with some amazing gifts for our new arrival!  My girlfriends Kirsten, Taylor, Racquel and Jackie threw a beautiful baby shower at Daniel Arthurs downtown Cedar Rapids.  They did such a fabulous job, and the details they incorporated were so special.  They took the crib bedding print and created not only then invitations, but flowers on the tables, the cookies, M&M's & favors.

This chair has some history and a great story before it was even gifted!  It arrived as a HUGE surprise to me the day of the shower and by the sounds of it, it took everyone in on it to keep it that way.  Even Brandon knew this was coming and had spent months coordinating fabric swatches with the girls to make it just perfect.  Well it all came together well, and now we have the PINK chair we had wanted for the nursery.  Baby Hahn will love to be rocked and read to in this chair!
I am so very thankful to be surrounded but such wonderful friends, both Brandon and I say that a lot and we know how blessed we are.

We unloaded all of her wonderful gifts into her room, and I dug in!  I couldn't wait to get my hands on all her clothes, wash them up and get her dresser organized!  I carried up a newborn & 0-3 month tote, as I have been collecting clothes over the past few months.  I started to make piles so I could see what all she had, and if I needed anything...well, take a look at the tornado that went through her room!

Wow, I quickly became overwhelmed with where to put everything!  I just needed to breathe, and wrap my head around it all.  I am please to say, I got focused and everything just fell into place! Daddy was busy hanging her mirror, book shelf and pictures. It is just adorable!

Big brother just waiting for his sister to arrive!

We are still waiting for her bedding to arrive, some unfortunate delays with that, but thankfully we have a little time yet.  I will be on the look out for a few things for her wall, especially over her crib and dresser.  We also need a side table then we are set for her room!  It really is coming together and makes it more of a reality to us as we start to prepare for her.  This Tuesday we enter our 8th month of pregnancy, where has time gone?!
