39 Weeks

One week away from our due date!  Not too much to report in the "activity" department since last week.  I have been feeling good, just the normal pressures and low back discomfort.  We met with Dr. McCarron again today, and he did the whole big smile when he opened the door and said, "you guys are getting so close!"  Oh could he feel the same excitement from us, because that is all we have talked about this week.  Playing the waiting game gets tough, as every middle of the night movement from me wakes Brandon to ask, "everything okay, any contractions...did your water break!"  He is so excited that he is just hoping for something to happen!

Baby's heartbeat was 120, the lowest it has been but still within the very normal range.  We have not progressed any further since last week, and although a little disappointed, it truly doesn't mean anything.  One question you are asked at every visit is, "is the baby moving a lot?"  Well this time I had to really think about it.  She has certianly slowed down, although last night she was so squirmy that we had time to grab the camera and take some video of her bumping around!  So my answer today was, "not near as often as usual, although maybe it is just me staying busy or no longer thinking twice about it."  Doctor says less movement is very common but to be on the safe side, we were sent for an NST (non stress test) after our appointment.  She passed with flying colors, and it wasn't but 5 minutes into the test, she became this little wiggle bug, moving all around!  Thankfully all was good, just some additional reassurance.  Dr. McCarron is guessing her birth weight at high 7lbs low 8lbs!  So, we again talked about induction and our next appointment is Tuesday, January 12th (40 wks) and his next on call date is Sunday, January 17th.  So worst case scenerio, this will be baby's birthday, UNLESS she listens to her Daddy and arrives sooner.

GO HAWKS!
