I have so much to catch up on, so I'm going to start by welcoming Jessen Phillip Whitehead to the world on July 13th! He is the little brother to Blasi and Cole & proud parents to Tim & Jaime, our very dear friends! We are just thrilled to know Henley will have a little buddy to play with, but if he is anything like his father, we will need to keep a close eye on him by age 10! Last week Henley had her 6 month well child check up with Dr. Thomas. She weighs 14lbs 7ozs (25th percentile) and is 26 inches long (50th percentile). She is growing up right before our eyes, and every stage just keeps on getting better. I'm sure that will be a repeat statement, but it is the truth! "anyone want to chat?" This past weekend we headed up to Harpers Ferry to spend time with my family and friends on the Mississippi. Brandon and I took off early last Friday, taking our time, making our first stop at Old Man River Brewery in McGregor! If you ever get the opportunity, make the time to eat there, it was wonderful!!! We did a little shopping afterwards and on our way out stopped at Pikes Peak. It is pretty high up there, but the view was amazing. We headed towards the cabin where the fun had already started. We were able to experience so much including jet skiing, boating...our little fish did so well, four wheeling on trails that lead us to the most beautiful places! We thank Bill and Marsha for the hospitality and for allowing us to create some fond family memories, many of which will never be forgotten!
I celebrated my 28th birthday this past Tuesday, and this year was even more special now that Henley has joined our lives, celebrating seems so much exciting. Brandon's gift to me was a new bike and I LOVE it!
She enjoyed her ride so much, it put her right to sleep. We look forward to exploring more of the nature trail, and as for me, I'm just getting used to being on a bike...its been awhile!
