We returned to the hotel for some pool time!
Check out the frog legs!
We cleaned up and headed out for dinner. The downtown area quickly filled up with music and entertainment on the street corners, it was perfect for people watching! Henley even received a balloon animal from a scary clown!
Saturday morning we woke up, had a very yummy breakfast, hit up the local farmers market then headed towards the zoo! It had been many years for both Brandon and I since we entered the gates of a zoo, but it was so much fun! Most entertaining award goes to the Gorillas! We first viewed the exhibit from the outside,
the gorilla on the left then got up, and walked towards the window, peeking in at those starring at him!
We had to see what that looked like, so we went inside and found this face starring back at us!
As funny as we thought this was, it make us both a little nervous to know only a piece of thin glass divided us!
Sun Bears
These guys were very cute.
Check out the claws, yowza!
Next stop, Polar Bear
Off to see the Penguins and sea life at the aquarium
Heavy eyes, we are getting close to nap time.
Pretty, however, what a boring life, these fish just circle all day long.
We decided it was perfect timing for a 3D Imax movie! Henley slept as Brandon and I enjoyed the air conditioned!
Last stop, the rain forest. This was one of my favorite exhibits!
Home bound we were, with a new friend in tow!
Tid Bits from the month of August
We celebrated KJ's 13th birthday
We love you buddy!
We celebrated Brandon's cousin Megan & Blake's wedding. I sadley didn't get a picture of the bride & groom, but you can take my word they looked amazing!
Annual couples golf tournament, and just as the years past, it was a blast!
Spent the day in Marshalltown with Brandon's family - the weather that day was perfect. The guys golfed a par 3 course, while the girls spent some much needed time catching up.
Teri put up a swing for the grandkids, what it hit!
Grandma and her grandbabies! (Payton, Henley & Christopher)
Henley loved the swing so much at Grandma's, Daddy installed one in our yard!
