8 months old

Our little BIG girl is turning 8 months tomorrow & we have a few important updates to share! She has a tooth!! It is the bottom right, and just over a week ago it broke through. Surprisingly, we didn't even know it, but a routine gum check confirmed! We have been trying our best to capture a picture, but between the wiggles and chatterbox it seems impossible!

It has now been one full week since Henley has been riding tall in the back seat, we upgraded her to a convertible car seat, one that will carry her for a while. It wasn't necessary for us to switch so soon, but we found ourselves wishing we didn't have to lug around the extra seat.

(sleeping beauty)
My biggest worry was putting her in a grocery cart with little support, but I can confirm she has a blast! She kicked her dandling feet, gripped the handle and squealed!!! She was so amazed by the people and environment, that she wasn't even interested in the special toys I had packed.
She continues to melt our hearts and make us laugh daily! Every stage keeps getting better (I know, you are going to hear me say that a lot!)

Our lives continue to stay very busy, and that is just fine by us, it has allowed time well spent with family and good friends. Besides every Saturday reserved for the Hawkeyes,

we have had time to celebrate two very special birthdays. First one takes us out to Fireside Winery in Marengo, what a beautiful place! Happy 30th birthday to Brandon's cousin Kristi!

Bring your law chair, enjoy the band while enjoying a glass or two or three of wine. Henley even enjoyed her dinner out on the lawn!

Next celebration, Payton's 2nd birthday!! He is a busy little guy who loves Elmo, trucks, and anything Daddy does!

Happy birthday buddy!

Happy Grandparents Day! We thank our Grandparents for their wealth of knowledge and teaching us young kids a thing or two, and to Henley's Grandma's & Grandpa's thank you for being so involved in our life, it means so much to us!

You may have noticed I changed the blog wall paper to Fall...if you cannot tell, I am a bit excited for the next season to arrive! The colors, the smells aaahhhh, inhale, exhale, yep, it's almost here!
